In A Nutshell..In the beginning, a few of us (originally Kevin and Jae) each ran our own local web design businesses with limited success. In 2009 Siteria was founded, which was a partnership allowing us to learn from each others mistakes. We've grown a support team in diverse areas becoming the core of our service.
We originally built a simple web hosting business with the standard web design work. We decided that wasn't very interesting. We shifted our focus to offering clients an improved website management system instead. That, we've learned, is very interesting.
The platform behind our system is custom developed by an awesome software development team. This full-featured system combined with our signature quality customer support became a hit with our clients, and prompted other web designers to inquire about using our system with their businesses. This demand blossomed into the provider business model we have today. In 2011, we decided the name WebCities better represented our new vision to help enable simplicity for new and existing developers.
We’re a virtual company - We have no office space of our own, no conference rooms, no expensive phone lines and no ovehead hassles. Most of our team works from home, in different places around the world including the USA, Canada and Europe.
